Karene

Introduction / Summary (2018): Hello and welcome to our Sexuality pages. While this is not a pornographic site, it is provocative - founded upon what people search on the Internet (which is very interesting!). We then relate this to our biological and cultural evolution.
Sex is obviously important to people - and if you want to improve your sexual relationships then knowing the truth about our human evolution is the best foundation. By opening our minds to a greater diversity of behaviors, this knowledge will help you creatively cultivate healthy pleasurable moral attitudes and sexy smutty relationships (free from religious guilt & cultural myths).
Support an open honest discussion on the truth of our sexual evolution and behaviour. If you support sex positive, moral, informed sexual behaviour please share this knowledge. (These pages have a diverse collection of fascinating information relating to our human sexual evolution so people will appreciate it - see our 'nice letters' page!).
Sincerely, Karene.

Female Sexual Response to Masturbation & Orgasm

Female sexual response to masturbation is about the same as for males. Some women have reported orgasm 30 seconds from the start of self stimulation, while the usual time is a little less than 4 minutes. Because of a woman's ability to have multiple orgasms, she may maintain her threshold of orgasm far longer than a man.
When mutual masturbation is employed during intercourse, it may greatly enhance sexual response; some women report that they receive more intense pleasure from masturbation either by themselves or by their partner than they do from coitus.

Sexual Health: The Female Prostate & Ejaculation

From the website: 'Before a woman can learn to ejaculate, enjoy ejaculating, and enjoy sex in general she must accept all her bodily fluids as normal.

Female ejaculate is a fluid that is expelled from the body through the urethra during sexual activities. When released in small quantities it may be a mucous like fluid having a clear, milky, or yellowish coloration. The fluid contains PSA and PAP, which are produced in the female prostate. Some of the components found in it, urea and creatinine, are also found in urine, but in much lower concentrations than are found in regular urine.

... Given that all women have a prostate gland they all likely produce ejaculate even if they are not aware of it. The fluid may seep out and mix unnoticed with other body fluids rather than being a distinctive gush of liquid during sexual activity.

What is a Pap Smear Test?

Female Sexual Health: Lack of Research

Though the situation is improving, science knows far too little about women’s sexual function. And government is mounting precious few studies to find out. When I looked for clinical trials related to female sexuality being sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, I found exactly two and they were related to the effects of cancer treatment. And yet, according to a recent study by researchers at Yale School of Medicine and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, nearly half of all women suffer from some sexual problem. Many suffer from more than one.

The link between hormone levels and sexual desire in women is still uncertain and it’s likely there won’t be a one drug answer. In some cases, psychology may well be involved. Quality relationships are important, too.
Surveys show that most women hardly ever discuss sex with their doctors. The present surge of interest may be driven by women in the community who are now being far more open about their sexual concerns. Women need to let it be known that they want more research into women’s sexual health.

The Effects of Moderate Alcohol Consumption on Female Hormone Levels and Reproductive Function

From the website: 'Health consequences of moderate alcohol consumption for a woman may vary with the life stage. The effect of moderate alcohol consumption on the level of estrogens and progesterone in both pre and post menopausal women are reviewed in this study. It is concluded that several lines of evidence point to an alcohol induced rise in natural or synthetic estrogen levels in women. Moderate alcohol consumption has also been linked to decreased progesterone levels in pre menopausal women.'

Alcohol Consumption in Pregnancy: Study by The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists

An essay by Consuelo Guerri, Edward Riley and Kerstin Strömland which comments upon the findings of the British Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG). They believe that some the findings are not sound and potentially risky.

'The RCOG Guideline concluded;

* No adverse effects on pregnancy outcome have been proven with a consumption of less than 120 gms of alcohol (around 15 units) per week.
* Consumption of 120 gms (15 units) or more per week has been associated with a reduction in birth weight.
* Consumption of more than 160 gms (20 units) per week is associated with intellectual impairment in children.'

Analyse any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which life owes its perpetuation.Analyse any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which life owes its perpetuation. ... The primitive stages can always be re-established; the primitive mind is, in the fullest meaning of the word, imperishable. ...
