Introduction / Summary (2018): Hello and welcome to our Sexuality pages. While this is not a pornographic site, it is provocative - founded upon what people search on the Internet (which is very interesting!). We then relate this to our biological and cultural evolution.
Sex is obviously important to people - and if you want to improve your sexual relationships then knowing the truth about our human evolution is the best foundation. By opening our minds to a greater diversity of behaviors, this knowledge will help you creatively cultivate healthy pleasurable moral attitudes and sexy smutty relationships (free from religious guilt & cultural myths).
Support an open honest discussion on the truth of our sexual evolution and behaviour. If you support sex positive, moral, informed sexual behaviour please share this knowledge. (These pages have a diverse collection of fascinating information relating to our human sexual evolution so people will appreciate it - see our 'nice letters' page!).
Sincerely, Karene.

Female Health & Beauty
'Brazilian Wax'
Evolution, Culture & Feminism of Shaved 'Pussy' (Childlike
Vaginas)
A 'brazilian wax' is the removal of pubic hair from a woman's vagina and anus by hot wax.
Ouch! No I have never had one, but it is amazing what pain women will go through in the name of beauty. Is it really beautiful though? Why in western societies do we think hair on a woman is not attractive? Too much a reminder of our primitive past? Now that we are 'enlightened' hairless humans?
Hair and hair removal is very interesting from an evolutionary perspective. It is hard to know how much of the current trend of 'brazilian waxing' (and shaving) of a woman's pubic hair is related to customs and culture (fashion) vs. a natural instinct (predominantly in males) to find this more attractive (with the possibility that this relates to pedophilia). A hairless vagina is obviously infantile.
Health and youth are characteristics attractive to both sexes. From an evolutionary perspective, (which is based upon sex and survival of offspring) it makes sense to find a mate who can produce healthy offspring and help to protect them in life. A youthful woman can have more offspring than a middle aged woman. A strong, fit, dominant man offers better survival of offspring than a sickly, weak man.
We are just beginning our research, but these ideas are interesting to
explore.
Cheers,
Karene
Brazilian vs Bikini Wax
From the website: "There is some confusion as to exactly what the Brazilian is and isn't. Technically speaking there are four types of bikini waxes.
1. The Bikini Wax - hair is removed from outside the panty line.
2. The Brazilian Bikini - leaves a vertical strip in front (landing strip),
two to three fingers in width just above the vaginal area. Hair is not removed
from the labia. Hair is removed from the tush. Hair may be removed from
the buttock or peri-anal area.
3. The Playboy Bikini Wax - all hair is removed from the labia, all hair
is removed from the tush, including the peri-anal area, and only a very
narrow strip is left in the front. Named after the Playboy models.
4. The Sphinx (or the Full Bikini Wax) - It's all taken off. Everywhere.
Everything."

Brazilian Beauty Specialist
From the website: "With Brazilians, people love that every bit of hair is gone, they want their money's worth, they want it to be very clean looking, so we keep on waxing until every hair is gone. It takes about half an hour and costs $40. It needs to be maintained about once every four weeks.
If it's a client's first time they can get embarrassed and very scared, so we reassure them that there's only two peaks that really hurt and that's at the top of the vulva. Those parts sting, but it goes away very quickly. Most of it doesn't hurt at all. Most people are more worried about the pain the first time rather than the embarrassment.
My clients range from school girls to 60-year-old ladies. Brazilians would be 60% of our business now. I think that girls in their 20s have Brazilians because that's what's expected of them in their generation; just like shaving your legs. My younger clients say that men of their age just expect it, and they think it's not right if the girl does have pubic hair. It doesn't even mean that these girls are sexually active, the schoolgirls who come in, are usually just there because their girlfriends are doing it."

The Crisis in Pubic Hair
From the essay: "Every year over 2 million hectares of pubic hair
are clear cut or torn out by the roots, much of it in virgin and "old
growth" stands.
* Fact: As recently as 650,000 years ago, 97% of the human "landmass"
was a rich pampa of gently swaying pubic hair, with herds of grazing buffalo
as far as the eye could see.
* Fact: In modern times, pubic forestlands have shrunk to a few out-of-the-way
musky cracks, crevices, and lowland areas. Now, these precious areas too
are under attack.
*Fact: Pubic hair is on the run."

Analyse any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which life owes its perpetuation. ... The primitive stages can always be re-established; the primitive mind is, in the fullest meaning of the word, imperishable. ... Mans most disagreeable habits and idiosyncrasies, his deceit, his cowardice, his lack of reverence, are engendered by his incomplete adjustment to a complicated civilisation. It is the result of the conflict between our instincts and our culture. (Sigmund Freud)
