Instagram Profile - Karene (Sexual Evolution)

Introduction / Summary (2018): Hello and welcome to our Sexuality pages. While this is not a pornographic site, it is provocative - founded upon what people search on the Internet (which is very interesting!). We then relate this to our biological and cultural evolution.
Sex is obviously important to people - and if you want to improve your sexual relationships then knowing the truth about our human evolution is the best foundation. By opening our minds to a greater diversity of behaviors, this knowledge will help you creatively cultivate healthy pleasurable moral attitudes and sexy smutty relationships (free from religious guilt & cultural myths).
Support an open honest discussion on the truth of our sexual evolution and behaviour. If you support sex positive, moral, informed sexual behaviour please share this knowledge. (These pages have a diverse collection of fascinating information relating to our human sexual evolution so people will appreciate it - see our 'nice letters' page!).
Sincerely, Karene.

Religion & Sexual Morality 'To be Chaste', History, Marriage, Male & Female Belts & Devices, Stories, Pictures

"Chastity: The most unnatural of the sexual perversions." (Aldous Huxley, Eyeless in Gaza, 1936)

"Indeed it is through chastity that we are gathered together and led back to the unity from which we were fragmented into multiplicity." (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2nd ed.)

Sexual Morality & Catholic Religion: The Sixth Commandment 'You shall not commit adultery'

An essay based upon the Catechism of the Catholic Church (2nd edition) on Sexual Morality, the Sixth Commandment, Chastity and Offenses against Chastity (masturbation, homosexuality, prostitution, pornography, fornication, rape, lust).

From the website: "Chastity means the successful integration of sexuality within the person and thus the inner unity of man in his bodily and spiritual being. Sexuality, in which man's belonging to the bodily and biological world is expressed, becomes personal and truly human when it is integrated into the relationship of one person to another, in the complete and lifelong mutual gift of a man and a woman. The virtue of chastity therefore involves the integrity of the person and the integrality of the gift."

Promiscuity & Chastity Belts in the Animal Kingdom

'It is generally the case that whenever females mate repeatedly, males are sure to lose. Any male who can prevent a female from mating with his rivals will sire more of her children than a less controlling fellow and will thus spread more of his genes.

So you shouldn't be surprised to learn that chastity belts are a popular evolutionary invention, in vogue among bats, rats, worms, snakes, spiders, butterflies, fruit flies, guinea pigs, squirrels. chimpanzees - I could go on.

I must admit, however, that most of these fellows opt for the more traditional plugs, cements and glues rather than for amputating genitalia (like the honeybee). In many species of rodent, males have enormous glands to secrete tough, rubbery corks that they place deep in their partners' reproductive tracts as they finish copulating. The house mouse makes a plug so tough that a scalpel virtually bounces off it; once the plug has formed inside a female, attempts to remove it can tear the ligaments of her womb. ... In the rat, the male's penis is almost prehensile: it can do some glorious gymnastic flips to dislodge plugs left by previous lovers, making like a toilet plunger and pulling them out with suction.' (Olivia Judson, Dr Tatiana's Sex Advice to All Creation, p. 19)

Study of Chastity & Sex before Marriage

Nearly everyone in the US has sex before marriage, a new survey shows.

Dr. Lawrence Finer, (The Guttmacher Institute in New York City) was prompted to do the study by increasingly widespread public and private efforts to promote abstinence until marriage. 'Our motivation,' he said, 'was to say - is this a goal that can realistically be achieved; does this approach make sense?'

'Evidence from the past 50 years suggests that establishing abstinence until marriage as normative behavior is a challenging goal,' Finer concludes in his report, 'These findings argue for education and interventions that provide young people with the skills and information they need to protect themselves from unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases once they become sexually active.'

Celibacy, Pedophilia and the Church

From the essay: 'Sexual abuse of children by Catholic priests is and has been a problem known to every bishop in America. Many or most of these bishops and their chancery officials have been, unwittingly or not, accomplices of child abusers.

... Celibacy is not the cause of pedophilia. But celibacy as idealized, institutionalized and mandated by the church provides an ideal environment for those men whose sexuality (and personality) development has been arrested at an immature level leading to their inability to establish intimate relations with another adult.'

Analyse any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which life owes its perpetuation.Analyse any human emotion, no matter how far it may be removed from the sphere of sex, and you are sure to discover somewhere the primal impulse, to which life owes its perpetuation. ... The primitive stages can always be re-established; the primitive mind is, in the fullest meaning of the word, imperishable. ... Mans most disagreeable habits and idiosyncrasies, his deceit, his cowardice, his lack of reverence, are engendered by his incomplete adjustment to a complicated civilisation. It is the result of the conflict between our instincts and our culture. (Sigmund Freud)
