Instagram Profile - Karene (Sexual Evolution)

Introduction / Summary (2018): Hello and welcome to our Sexuality pages. While this is not a pornographic site, it is provocative - founded upon what people search on the Internet (which is very interesting!). We then relate this to our biological and cultural evolution.
Sex is obviously important to people - and if you want to improve your sexual relationships then knowing the truth about our human evolution is the best foundation. By opening our minds to a greater diversity of behaviors, this knowledge will help you creatively cultivate healthy pleasurable moral attitudes and sexy smutty relationships (free from religious guilt & cultural myths).
Support an open honest discussion on the truth of our sexual evolution and behaviour. If you support sex positive, moral, informed sexual behaviour please share this knowledge. (These pages have a diverse collection of fascinating information relating to our human sexual evolution so people will appreciate it - see our 'nice letters' page!).
Sincerely, Karene.

Male Penis Size: Big, Small & Average
Statistics, Evolution & Reproduction, Cultural Myths, Dominance, Health, Boy to Adult Development, Erections, Intercourse, Pictures

Hello. Thanks for visiting our evolutionary philosophy of human sexuality pages. We are currently researching good quality sites relating to our biological and cultural sexual evolution - as a way of collecting and presenting the most important / latest knowledge and research.

Below you will find summaries of articles & websites on Male Penis Size, i.e. latest research on evolution, health and male sexuality, dominance, anatomy & function of the penis, average size & statistics, boy to adult development, flaccid vs erection, sexual arousal, intercourse, orgasm, cultural myths of masculinity (am I too small?), pornography & 'big' men, pictures.
Compared with other search terms, 'penis' gets a high number of searches (35,000 /day, rank top 50). It is interesting to consider the top related searches for penis are all related to size. Studies have shown that it is males who are most affected by the image / size of a penis. i.e. Some speculate that penis size is less to do with satisfying a woman, and more to do with sexual selection relating to dominant males. This is also consistent with the fact that as we evolved to walk on two legs, our genitals became more exposed, thus providing a more obvious evolutionary mechanism (evolving a larger penis) as a sign of male dominance.

penis (35,772), penis enlargement (10,211), penis small (3,113), penis enlargement pill (2,738), big penis (2,396), horse penis (2,000), penis size (1,805), huge penis (1,423), penis pump (1,282), world's biggest penis (1,030), penis pill (1,102)

We hope you find the following articles & websites interesting, informative and useful.

Male Physiology - Normal Penis & Testicle Size

From the website: 'Wessells and colleagues have reviewed the normative data on penis size of the adult human male. In these studies sample size ranged from 50 to 2,770 subjects with an age range between 17 and 91 yr. The average unstretched flaccid length ranges from 8.85 cm to 10.7 cm, stretched flaccid length ranges from 12.45 cm to 16.74 cm, and erection length ranges from 12.89 cm to 15.5 cm.

Reports on penile volume are limited and have relied either upon the measurement of penile circumference manually or penile cross-section by ultrasound techniques. The increase in central obesity may contribute to occasionally reported decrease in penile length with age. There is a loss of tensile strength of the tunica as men grow older, but no loss of the tunica albuginea itself.

Normally, the testis increases in size from 1–3 cm during the neonatal period of life to 15–30 cm in adulthood. A normal size adult testis has dimensions of 4.1–5.2 cm in length and 2.5–3.3 cm in width. Based on the available data, Wessells and colleagues considered adult men with penile length of greater than 4 cm in the unstretched flaccid state or greater than 7.5 cm in the stretched flaccid state or the erect state to have a normal penile length.

Evolution, Human Reproduction & Fertilization: Sperm Competition & the Penis

A very interesting essay from the journal of Evolutionary Psychology on sperm competition and its role in shaping the human penis, (size, length, width, forceful ejaculation), evolutionary strategies for successful fertilization i.e. semen displacement and coagulation. On sexual intercourse and evolutionary benefits of deep penis thrusting, function of the foreskin and effects of circumcision, premature ejaculation, female reproductive strategies i.e. copulation with multiple partners, human sexual behaviour and wife rape (males having sex with their partner if suspecting them of infidelity).

... The typical erect human penis ranges from 127mm to 178mm in length (Masters & Johnson, 1966), with an average circumference of 24.5mm (Wessells, Lue, and McAninch, 1996). In contrast with our closest living relative, the human penis is roughly twice as long and wide as that of the common chimpanzee (Short, 1980). A longer penis would not only have been an advantage for leaving semen in a less accessible part of the vagina, but by filling and expanding the vagina it also would aid and abet the displacement of semen left by other males as a means of maximizing the likelihood of paternity.

Cultural Myths About Male Sexuality

The myths regarding male sexuality have been particularly tenacious because men have traditionally not talked about their sexual feelings and experiences honestly and openly with each other.
Myths debunked include penis size, that men are always willing and want sex, very few men are virgins, sex requires an erection, sex is over when a man comes, all orgasms are earth shattering, men in relationships don't masturbate.

Sexual Physics (Humor)
Small Penis Size and Quantum Physics

We thought we would add some physics humor, as it relates to the central subjects of this website (on truth and reality).

Question: My boyfriend, Peter, has a very small penis. In fact, it is so small that I can’t actually see it, although he assures me that it exists and informs me when it is erect. Recently, through my study of physics, I have learnt that the laws of quantum mechanics become apparent at the level of the very small, and was wondering what implications this might have on our sex life?

Answer: The area of physics that applies to the very small is called quantum theory. Suppose we take your boyfriend’s word for it that his penis actually does exist, then quantum theory says that in addition to having a material existence, his penis also has a wave function that measures its probability of existing in every state at every point in space and time. When an observation is made, his penis exists in one of these states and locations; but before observation, his penis exists in a neither state described by the sum of all possible states. If you don’t understand this, then don’t worry because if you think you understand it, then you have probably misunderstood. Einstein despised this interpretation of quantum theory because of his belief that God does not play dice with penises. Schrodinger despised it because he thought it was absurd to think of a pussy that could be both dead and alive at the same time. It is probably safe to say that nobody properly understands quantum physics; it just conforms to all the observations.

An explicit example of this is the double slit experiment. In this experiment, a beam of electrons is shot through two slits and a photographic film placed behind the slits records the resulting pattern. If the electron were simply a material particle obeying the laws of classical mechanics, then we would expect to see two tiny lines burned into the photographic film behind each slit. However, what we actually see is an interference pattern corresponding to the interference of two waves. When electrons are shot one at a time, we see the same pattern. The explanation of quantum physics, and the only explanation consistent with these observations, is that the probability distribution of the each electron spreads out over space, allowing a single electron to penetrate both slits simultaneously and proceed to interfere with itself behind the slits.

Your boyfriend’s penis is not that different from an electron. If it is small enough, then its wave function will also spread out over a space large enough for it to penetrate more than one slit simultaneously. In fact, the smaller the penis, the more slits it will be able to penetrate at once. If you were to line up a number of ladies on a bed, your boyfriend would be able to thrust into all of them at once. To be optimistic about his penile inadequacy, what he will lose in quality of stimulation, he will gain in quantity.

So you may wonder, if your boyfriend were to ejaculate while his penis-wave-function is penetrating multiple slits simultaneously, how many ladies could he potentially fertilise? Could the wave function of his spermatozoa fertilise every lady whose slit he is penetrating, so that he could fertilise multiple women simultaneously? Well, according to quantum theory, although the wave function of his penis can spread out over space to penetrate multiple slits at once, his penis is still a material object that goes through one slit or the other, as are also his spermatozoa. And so with every entry involving an ejaculation, he will at best only fertilise one lady. The best he can do to get around this restriction is to ejaculate over many consecutive entries, because if his penis randomly goes into a different slit with each entry, then he could conceivably fertilise a different lady with each ejaculation.

But will these ladies want to mother his child? After all, penis size is largely genetic, and in the event that their child is a boy, they will probably want him to be more generously endowed than your boyfriend. A form of contraception is therefore advisable, but a simple condom will be ineffective. At such small sizes, quantum theory predicts that the spermatozoa will simply tunnel through the condom. If a spermatozoon is ejected from a very-small-penis, then it logically follows that the actual spermatozoon must be even smaller than the already-very-small-penis. Since the consequences of quantum mechanics become noticeable at the level of the very small, then each spermatozoon will have a probability distribution that will actually smear through the condom. And given the huge sample size of spermatozoa ejected in even a modest ejaculation, it is a near certainty that one of these will tunnel through the condom to cause fertilisation.

This fact confers a dangerous selective advantage to men-with-very-small-penises because these men can pass their genes on to the next generation more efficiently by deceptively fertilising ladies under the illusion that they are being protected against fertilisation by using a condom. This enhanced reproductive efficiency is multiplied by the ability of men-with-very-small-penises to fertilise multiple ladies every time they indulge in sexual intercourse. From one perspective, the development of a very small penis could be considered the next step in male hominid evolution.

The only contraceptive protecting humanity against the prominence of males-with-very-small-penises is the quantum prediction that before a very-small-penis is observed, then there is a probability that it doesn't really exist. This probability is probably quite high because a subatomic particle, atom or molecule probably can't urinate or copulate on its own. If it could, then we would all be covered in microscopic penises. Before you agree to participate in any of the sexual implications opened up by very-small-penises, check your boyfriend out under the electron microscope. As a general rule, it doesn't exist until you observe it.
