What is Softcore Pornography?
Softcore is a form of pornography, that depicts sexual behaviour in a less explicit way than hardcore porn. This may be in the medium of cinema or video, photography, magazines and advertising. When we generally think of pornography, it is the hardcore version which usually springs to mind. Softcore is though recognised as a genre of pornography and we can recognise it's pervasiveness in mainstream western society. Sex sells.
Softcore may range from partial nudity to simulated intercourse. While both softcore and hardcore try to intentionally arouse the audience, the main difference is that softcore does not clearly show aroused genitalia, ejaculation or penetration. (based upon https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softcore)
